"My boyfriend and I enjoyed ourselves during our first visit last week. We are learning about wines and also how to pair them with different foods. We plan to attend many of your special events. The ambiance, wine, food and service were spectacular!"
"Came from St. Louis, MO to visit. Passing thru on the way to Cape Cod. Found Wine Bistro online and had to stop. We loved the food and the atmosphere. Has made a long trip more enjoyable. We had the Argentina Malbec and found it to be outstanding. We visit wineries and bistros all over the country and would definitely come back to this one."
"I put together a very nice group including 2 Sommeliers. Our server provided great recommendations to go along with our wine selections. We all had a great time walking around and picking wine off the shelves. We made a game out of it."
"The food and service were both perfect and I wanted to say thank you for providing such a wonderful atmosphere for us to enjoy. It was an amazing experience and a very fun adventure. With every restaurant reaching for an identity is very nice to see one that not only has an identity but knows how to treat it's guests. It doesn't hurt that it is 2 blocks away from my house."
"We had a few bottles of wine and probably everything on the appetizer list. We look forward to coming back and picking out more wine and trying more food."
“I hosted a bridal shower at the Lane Avenue location yesterday. It was a phenomenal experience. Tonya did a fabulous job helping me plan the event and the servers/ bar staff were amazing. We had around 20 people in attendance and everyone was impressed with the entire experience. Thanks for making my event a memorable one!"
"...everything you could want--great, warm atmosphere, diverse and large wine selection, tasty and affordable food, excellent and knowledgeable staff and a fun and friendly manager. The restaurant itself is quaint and homey and the decor is adorable. They have live music a few nights a week and also have wine tasting evenings that are well worth the price. Definitely worth a try if you have never been."
"We had a group of four and we shared two bottles of wine and lots of tasty food. We ordered lots of appetizers and a couple of Flatbreads and shared everything Tapas style. ...I'd recommend the Warm Olives, Hummus Trio, Antipasti Plate, Scallop Lollipops, Cheese Board (the Blue Cheese was EXCELLENT!) and the Wild Mushroom Flatbread."
"My husband & I frequent this establishment at least twice a month. No TV's, great lighting, jazz music, really good food, and a staff that knows your name - it doesn't get any better than this! I recommend the Flat Bread Pizzas - all varieties are excellent. The meatball appetizer is amazing. The Cheese Plates is always a hit, as well as the hummus. We always see people we know, which is a plus and you can pick your own wine flights from just about anything they have available. Did I mention I love this place?"
"Big Groups are Welcome! ...The table was AWESOME! It was big, rectangle high top table that seated all of us comfortably and the backdrop of wines housed in dark bookcases made me feel like we were were in a library. Nonetheless, I appreciated the decor because it made our evening that much more enjoyable. ... This place has the potential to be the perfect singles mecca or 1st date joint!"
"I came here for a meeting (yes, you read correctly) and the environment was perfect. There are tables for dining, a bar for tasting/drinking, a fantastic patio, a separate private dining room, and my favorite, the small side lounge area with comfy chairs where we set up to talk shop. ...The wine list is skillfully selected and the notes (at least for my wine) were spot on."
"For dessert, we had the port-soaked cherries over triple vanilla bean ice cream. Do I even have to say how good that was?"
"I just had my wife's 50th surprise birthday party here. Everything was so great. When you walk in, your sense of sight and vision are absorbed in the dark, rich wood and decoration. ...Our sense of taste exploded as we went from one taste to another, not knowing what to expect next. We were never so excited to see what the chef had in store for our next taste. Then there is the feeling of being the center of attention. The feeling of knowing this would be the best party of all time. The feeling that my wife deserved the best. So The Wine Bistro fulfilled and exceeded my expectations and everyone who attended. The Wine Bistro hit all my senses."
"I recently dined at The Wine Bistro on High Street, and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. The staff had a great knowledge of the amazing selection of wines. The food was second to none, everything that my wife and I tried, we loved!
"I went with a group of my friends from church to celebrate a birthday. We made reservations, and we were impressed right off the bat because the general manager had left a personal birthday card at the table. Our food was delicious and unique in flavors. The service was superb! It was probably some of the best service that I have had in a restaurant."
"I have been to the Wine Bistro for every kind of occasion--date night, girls' night, birthdays, wine tastings ...I will even just go there when I get done with work and bring a book to drink and take in the long day. It is the kind of atmosphere that is hospitable for each of these types of evenings."
"We discovered the wine bistro when we relocated to Delaware 2 years ago and it continues to be one of our favorite spots. The menu offers some different and inviting options and the staff has always been polite. The food has always been good and the availability of different wines by the bottle is terrific. Recently The manager started Pups on the Patio on Sunday afternoon so we now visit on Sunday with our two dogs and relax with some wine while they socialize. Always a nice time."
"One might not think wine bistro for a baby shower, but it was perfect-- short & sweet! Easy pre-planning, attentive execution, good price, &, of course, that always yummy food & vino! Big bonus-- not having to do this event in my home. Worked well for an early Sunday afternoon. Totally recommend!"
"The Wine Bistro on North High is the latest in "the best little wine spot" in Columbus. It has the best flat breads and wine selection I have ever seen."
"We LOVE the Wine Bistro on High! We have thrown multiple parties at this location and each time the service and the food are perfect! We have had a Birthday, Graduation, and an Anniversary Party at the Wine Bistro and the manager Deb always picks the PERFECT food and wine every time! This is a great place to just sit back and enjoy a glass of wine or to hang out with good friends"
"Having tasted the entire Orin Swift line up from Abstract to the coveted Papillion and Mercury Head, Dave Phinney definitely knows what he is doing and so does the Wine Bistro!. This tasting was absolutely off the charts my taste buds will never be the same. The wine was amazing and it's food pairing was spot on."
"Brought the Mayor of Running, Bart Yasso, to the Wine Bistro. He loved it. We loved it! Phenomenal service! Quite flavorful menu! Great atmosphere! We'll be back..."
"This is seriously the best meatball I have had around here. Paired well with a glass of The Prisoner. Love this place!"
"There are not enough great things to say about this place. The decor is warm and inviting, the staff is fun, & friendly. We even got to meet Chef Nikki, who knows her stuff when it comes to pairing wines with food (thanks again)."
"Great atmosphere and energy! The wine, service and food were delightful: separately and combined... a fantastic place for a romantic getaway, a professional conversion and a gathering place for friend/family!"
"'[S]oft seating' allows you to sit down and order wine or appetizers even if there is a long wait for table. This restaurant is a must for anyone who likes wine and cheese done well for a reasonable price."
"There were 9 different flatbreads to choose from plus you can get half with either soup or salad. My wife choose the winery salad with the wild mushroom flatbread. I got the tomato basil soup and the grilled chicken pesto flatbread. Everything was fantastic!"
"The Winery salad was excellent and I'll definitely order that again. The rustic tomato basil bisque was outstanding. The small cheese board was delicious and a great value too. Monday and Tuesday they waive the $8 corkage fee for full bottles of wine. Reservations recommended especially on weekends. Be sure to check out their semi-private room while you're there. It seats about 15 people - it's gorgeous!"
"What a beautiful space. The food and wine were outstanding. The flat bread was very tasty ... great crisp texture and the tomatoes had been marinated in a slightly sweet balsamic mixture. Excellent. The late harvest Zinfandel Eric served us for dessert was fantastic. Loads of berries and raisins."
"The corkage fee waiver on Monday and Tuesday is a great deal. The selection of wine will not disappoint. There is a decent assortment of craft beers to lure the beer drinker in your life. As for the food, the menu has plenty of choices."
